Heirloom peppermint is extremely easy to grow.
In fact, it grows so well, it is best to confine it to containers.
Longer stalks and less hairy than spearmint;
purple stems and very fragrant leaves
are used to flavor tea, candy, liquors and medicines.

Start seed indoors 8 to 10 weeks
prior to last spring frost.
Or, sow directly outdoors in
12 to 16 days at 70 F.
